In reply to your letter of the 16th June, I am directed to inform you that there is no objection to the fur- niture of the German Consulate being sent to Shanghai. The archives may be stored in the Kowloon Godowns or any other place deemed suitable by your office provided that they are not sent out of the Colony. There is no intention that the
